We Are...

Our Nittany Lions finished the year with a strong showing against Michigan State. We didn't make it to State College for a regular season game this year but did see another Blue and White game this past spring.

There's nothing like being there in person, but not too sad we missed the Iowa game. A disappointing loss and rained all night. The Hawkeyes seem to have our number, but they are our second favorite team in the Big Ten.

We're keeping our fingers crossed for a good bowl game. If we win the lotto maybe we'll take a road trip to cheer on the Lions.

A DOG'S life...

Pets are suppose to make you live longer...right? The kids have been talking about getting an animal since they could talk. Up to now we've resisted the temptation believing they'd be more trouble then fun, but we're starting to rethink that.

For me, I believe it all revolves around the concept of obedience. Wouldn't it be nice to have someone around who listens for a change...that's why I've said definitely NO to a cat. The challenge is we can't swap kids for dogs, so we're asking the kids to shape up if they want to take this step. Time will tell.

Our friends up the street are dog experts and have been helping the kids try to narrow down a breed that is friendly, non aggressive, quiet, small, and doesn't shed...easy right? Please comment if you have any ideas. My vote was for a beagle (like my childhood pal Casie) but I don't have a lot of support. The girls seem to want a rat instead of a dog that they can carry around in their purse. Good luck with the Rotties next store.

I'm sure mom and dad will get stuck with all the work but they are irresistible as puppies and did I mention obedient.

Growing Up...

Seems like the older I get the faster time goes. Just yesterday the kids were still in diapers and today they're turning into young adults.

It is early fall in PA and soon the trees will be turning brilliant oranges and reds. Cross country season is in full swing. Emma and Abby have turned into real runners and are making us proud. Meets once a week and invitationals on Saturday keep everyone busy. Seems like almost every week there is another PR to celebrate.

And lets not forget football season. Reuben's taking a year off from the pads and concentrating on gaining some weight for next season. Although he's playing every night and weekends somewhere in the neighborhood. I think he's going to be the fastest of the Kemmerers. We're both excited about the Nittany Lions again this year. We never miss a game...at least on TV.

We're really enjoying these days...just wish they wouldn't go so fast.
